Senia Garcia, a native of the Dominican Republic, relocated to the United States in 2009 at the age of 19. Prior to her move, she was enrolled in a marketing program in the Dominican Republic. Upon her arrival in the United States, she embarked on a new educational journey, dedicating the years from 2010 to 2013 to mastering the English language. In 2013, having successfully completed the ESL program, Senia made the decision to pursue a career in nursing. While undertaking her nursing education, she concurrently held a position in the custodial services department at Stony Brook Hospital. A year later, she transitioned to the supply management department, where she remained for the subsequent four years while advancing her nursing education. In 2017, Senia assumed the role of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Emergency Department at Stony Brook Hospital, a position she held for two years until obtaining her RN license. Since 2019, she has been employed in the Stony Brook Medical Intensive Care Unit, where she provides exceptional care to critically ill patients and offers unwavering support to both patients and their families. In April 2024, Senia achieved another milestone in her academic journey by graduating from Chamberlain University with a Bachelor's degree. Additionally, in 2022, she embarked on a new endeavor, enrolling in aesthetics classes with the aspiration of establishing her own business in the aesthetics industry, a long-cherished dream of hers. Over the past two years, she has gained valuable hands-on experience under the guidance of seasoned aesthetic physicians while simultaneously obtaining certifications in various aesthetic procedures.
